Local health departments continue to work collaboratively with Racine County and other partners to vaccinate eligible populations, including health care personnel in Phase 1A (frontline health care workers, EMS, Fire and police personnel) and, starting January 25, people who are age 65 and older. Local health departments are currently still working to complete the vaccination of those in Phase 1A. Local health departments serve to fill gaps in the distribution of vaccines.
Any health care personnel in Phase 1A not yet vaccinated should check with their organization's healthcare system about vaccine availability. For health care personnel not affiliated with a health care system that is able to vaccinate, CRCHD may be able to provide your workers with vaccine or provide you information about other vaccinators. Please go to https://crchd.com/covid-19-vaccine and click on the “Vaccines Updates Email Sign Up” button to receive vaccination information, including available vaccination clinics. Completing this form does not guarantee you will be vaccinated by the health department due to vaccine availability.
For people ages 65+ who have a local healthcare provider, your local healthcare provider will be reaching out to you to schedule an appointment, based on vaccine availability and your eligibility. You can also visit your provider's website for more instructions.
If you are age 65+ and want vaccine updates, including known vaccination clinics, go to https://crchd.com/covid-19-vaccine and click on the “Vaccines Updates Email Sign Up” button to complete a request for information. Once your information is received, you will be added to an email distribution list for vaccine updates and information. Completing this form does not guarantee you will be vaccinated by the health department due to vaccine availability.
For those ages 65+, please note there are 28,822 residents of Racine County and 700,000 residents of Wisconsin who fall into the 65+ age group but Wisconsin is only receiving about 70,000 first doses per week. Not everyone in this age group will be able to be vaccinated immediately so we appreciate everyone’s patience.
The vaccination planning process starts at the federal level, moves to the state level, then information is shared with local partners for planning and implementation. We will continue to share more information as soon as details are finalized. As we continue planning and moving forward in the vaccination process, we urge the public to remain patient and continue to follow public health guidelines so we can slow further transmission of COVID-19.
