Racine County is seeking groups to volunteer in the county’s Adopt-A-Highway and Adopt-A-Park programs.
Adopt-A-Highway group members must be at least 11 years old and in the sixth grade. Clean-up is performed along a roughly two-mile segment of a county highway at least three times a year. Groups are provided with safety vests, bags, and signs.
For performing this work, signs that mark the route will publicize the sponsoring group.
Participating groups in the Adopt-A-Park program must have at least one adult supervisor for every ten children in the park. Clean-up is performed at a county park at least three times a year. Groups are provided with bags.
