ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Must be between 15 to 18 years of age as of June 1.
- Must be able to work in the United States.
- Must be a Racine County resident.
- Must be able to commit to 20hrs/week for 8 consecutive weeks between June 15 and August 7.
- Need ID (state ID, drivers license or school ID) and social security card.
TRAINING, EDUCATION, AND SKILL DEVELOPMENT
- A 3 day orientation training is mandatory for all youth participants prior to beginning employment at a selected work site. The training focuses on preparing youth for their work site and familiarizing them with the expectations of the program.
- During program involvement, youth will participate in education and skill development workshops every other Friday.
- Orientation training and skill development workshops will occur in person at a local school.
- Youth will be paid $14 per hour.
APPLICATION PROCESS
- Applications are reviewed and selected youth will be scheduled for an interview with the selection committee.
Burlington area application will close on Friday, April 24.
Racine area application closed on Friday, March 13th.
