The Children First Program helps non-custodial parents gain employment, fulfill child support obligations, and actively participate in their child's life. The program provides employment services, case management, and parenting support to help parents overcome barriers and achieve long-term financial and personal stability.
Program Services
Participants receive job readiness training, employment search assistance, and job retention support to secure and maintain stable employment. The program also offers parenting education, co-parenting guidance, and financial literacy resources to help parents develop the skills needed to support their children. Case managers provide individualized support to assist parents in navigating child support requirements and accessing community resources that promote long-term success.
Who is Eligible?
Non-custodial parents may be court-ordered or voluntarily referred to the Children First Program if they are unemployed or underemployed and struggling to meet child support obligations.
