Welcome to the Register of Deeds Office

Please note our office will be closed on Thursday, February 5th from 9am to 10am for training.  Applications for vital records will be available if you would like to fill them out and wait until we reopen right after 10:00am.

 

Document Searching and the use of public computers will be available from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm on a first come, first serve basis. We are unable to assist in document searching.

Genealogy Searches will be available by appointment only. These appointments can be scheduled Tuesday-Thursday from 9:00am-3:00pm, in 2 hour increments. 

Real Estate Documents can be  dropped off, filed electronically or mailed. If you do not currently e-file, we are suggesting that you contact a title company that offers e-Recording services or connect with an e-Recording network by googling electronic recording services.

Vital Records are available through the mail, online with a credit card or through any local Register of Deeds Office.  Order online through our website (Click Here) or through the State Vital Records Office in Madison at https://www.vitalchek.com/wistorefront/customer/wi/wiHome.xhtml. 

Please note that in-person completed applications for vital records will be accepted until 3:45 p.m. All other requests submitted after 3:45 p.m. will be processed the following business day.

Marriage Licenses can be mailed or dropped off.
