Racine County Jail

The Racine County Jail (RCJ) is one of the largest pre-detention facilities in the state of Wisconsin, with a maximum bed space for 876 detainees.  The facility covers an entire city block in the downtown area of Racine complete with it's own health and metal health services, privatized food and commissary services, one of the state's only in-house AODA programs, Chaplain's programming, law library, visiting area and newly innovated video visitation services.
